Just by the number of athletes qualified for nationals, it's already been a pretty good season for the Jimmie indoor track and field team.

Last season, two University of Jamestown performers advanced to the season-ending meet. This weekend, 10 Jimmies will be competing in Geneva, Ohio.

The women's team is sending eight, while a pair of throwers represent the men's squad.

Women's coach Jim Clark is upbeat heading into the meet, which begins today.

"I believe we have some kids who are capable of vying for All-America honors and the experience of being there once always helps the younger kids," Clark said.
